VALIDATE

Rapid Pretotyping Facilitation

Find out if your idea actually works in the market, before spending time and resources building it.

The problem it solves

Many projects — even technically strong ones — don't fail because of a product issue, but because they get built without anyone truly checking whether the market wants them. The biggest risk for a founder isn't getting the technology wrong, but discovering too late that the problem they set out to solve wasn't the right one, or that people aren't willing to pay for the proposed solution.

The service follows a two-phase path, designed to generate concrete, reliable metrics instead of opinions or gut feelings.

How it works

Phase 0

Assessment. A preliminary session to understand the stage of the project and the most critical hypotheses to test. No commitment required.

Phase 1

Setting up validation. Defining the business hypotheses to verify (problem, solution, market, willingness to pay) and designing the most suitable experiment to generate the needed metrics — a landing page test, a fake door, a concierge MVP, a smoke test, or structured interviews, depending on the case. Technical support is provided to actually build the experiment, along with analysis of the results to define what to test next.

Phase 2

Ongoing support. For teams that want deeper support: two months of accompaniment through successive cycles of testing, iteration and analysis, building a solid, documented picture of early product-market fit.

The method

The service is built on the methodology applied within Dock Startup Lab, Unfold Tomorrow's pre-incubation programme, recognised by the Financial Times among Europe's top 50 startup hubs. Activities are led by in-house mentors and technical facilitators with direct experience guiding over 100 teams every year through idea validation and MVP development.

Who it's for

Built for founders and teams who have an idea or an early product concept, but don't yet have concrete data on how the market would react. Useful both for teams starting from scratch and for more advanced teams looking to validate a new feature, customer segment or market before investing further in development.

What you walk away with

A real set of metrics on demand, user behaviour and willingness to pay
